Where is Jana?

Gloria continues to pursue her goal of marrying the DA. She enlists Evan to make Will jealous. When Evan dicovers that Will is the DA he gets cold feet and beats a quick retreat. Learning the extent of Will's wealth, he makes a pact to help Gloria marry Will subject to a "finder's fee" if she secures the prize.

Phyllis becomes agitated about the consequences for Summer if Phyllis goes to jail. At her urging Michael tries to get Will to drop the charges but Will refuses.

Paul returns after a long absence, supposedly after travels in Australia and Europe. He has compiled a dossier on Jana's friends/contacts in Europe which he discusses with Kevin. Maggie appears with Jana's employment history. The hunt for Jana is about to resume in earnest but Jana has plans of her own for her return.

Plane crash (continued)

Today's episode focused on the aftermath of the crash of the Newman jet. Understandably everyone is distraught. A Coast Guard official visits Victor and tells him that they had lost radar contact with the plane before it disappeared. Victor visits the site (we are not told where it is; no mention today of Lake Michigan). Later he tells a tearful Nikki that there were no signs of survivors. This raises more questions than it answered. He didn't mention any corpses or anything specific about the plane.

As an side Jack offers to sell Jabot back to Katherine. She agrees. Will Jack avert Victor's planned vengeance. Methinks not.

Is Nicholas Dead?

Fans of Y&R were blindsided on Friday May 11 when the Newman Corporate jet went down over Lake Michigan with Nick and Sharon on board. Before the show ended Sharon had turned up at the Newman household bags in hand, to the conternation of the assembled grievers. Apparently her photo shoot had been cancelled at the last minute. But Nicholas was onboard the jet with two pilots.

A check of internet posts indicates that Joshua Morrow had signed a contract renewal with CBS for five years a few weeks ago. If so, then we can presume that he will emerge from the rather cold waters of Lake Michigan in due course.

Rather a dramatic way to precipitate a contract showtime, methinks.
